Talk to Us

Being a carer can be difficult and may feel overwhelming. Carers SA is here to help you find your way through the system of services and support.

Each stage of your caring journey can raise new questions. What seemed important at the start may be different 12 months, or even 5 years in. Our approachable, highly trained team are on hand to help you work through the emotions and challenges carers face everyday.

No matter what your circumstances, we can tailor our advice and information to your needs. We want to be your first port of call, so you can make informed choices about your caring role. We can put you in touch with services that will help you in your caring role. This might include respite, counselling, workshops or local carer support.

You can contact a member of our team by calling our Freecall number or online chat is available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, or via our online enquiry form.

  • Carer Support

Our local support programs can provide one-one-one information and support and connect you with other carers, groups, events and activities, so you can spend some time away from your caring role in a social environment.

  • Respite

It’s okay to need a break from the demanding role of a carer. We can help you to explore options and plan flexible respite that best meets both your needs and the needs of the person you care for. Or provide options in the event of an emergency.

  • Counselling

Talking to a counsellor can help you explore ways to deal with complex situations, and to balance caring with the rest of your life. Sharing your emotions can be hard, but it can make a huge difference.
