    Our local support programs connect you with local staff, other carers, groups, events and activities, so you can obtain support and spend some time away from your caring role in a social environment. We also provide carer education and training workshops to assist carers in their role

    It’s okay to need a break from the demanding role of being a carer. We can help you to explore options and plan flexible respite that best meets the needs of the person you care for. We can also help you organise emergency respite if you cannot fulfil your caring role.

    Talking to a counsellor can help you explore ways to deal with complex situations, and to balance caring with the rest of your life. Sharing your emotions can be hard, but it can make a huge difference.

Are you looking after a family member or a friend?

We’re here for YOU.

We assist and empower carers who provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends who have a disability, mental illness, chronic condition, terminal illness, drug or alcohol issue, or who are frail.

We welcome carers from all manner of diverse backgrounds to join our programs, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers, carers from other cultural backgrounds, and carers who may identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex.
